Parsley is a tasty herb, which grows widely in many European countries and is cultivated worldwide. We love the taste and nutritional benefits so much we added it into our smooth parsley juice, to make a delicious breakfast juice!

There are many nutritional benefits of enjoying fresh parsley juice as part of a healthy lifestyle. Parsley is particularly rich in vitamins A, C, K and the B-vitamin folate. It is a good source of antioxidants (including Vitamin C and A) and also flavonoids. (Antioxidants help our immune system stay healthy and also said to have anti-cancer properties). Vitamin K is needed for bone health. It is also important in helping your blood to clot naturally (so if you are on blood-thinning medication, you might need to limit the amount of celery you eat – we suggest you check with your medical team). It is naturally low in calories and fat. For centuries, chewing fresh parsley was said to be a natural breath freshener.

Juicing tip: To juice parsley, we suggest that you gather it up into a tight bunch. You can either use a lettuce leaf and wrap it around the parsley. Or you can sandwich the parsley in between two halves of apple – this helps the small leaves to go through your juicer.

Smooth parsley juice recipe

 Serves: 1

Calories: 364

2 apples
3 cm broccoli stem
1 pepino (this is a small Spanish cucumber, you can use half a salad cucumber)
2 cm lemon
Large handful parsley
Blend: 1/3 avocado


Wash all of your ingredients beneath cold running water, making sure to give the parsley a good rinse. If you have a strong juicer and are using an unwaxed lemon, leave the skin on, otherwise trim off the outer skin of the lemon, leaving the pith. Then put through your juicer, allowing the juice to run into a jug.  

To make this into a delicious “smooth” juice, remove the skin and stone from the avocado and place the avocado pieces into your jug. Blend for 30 – 60 seconds, until smooth.

To maintain your equipment, we recommend that you wash your juicer and blender soon after use.

Pure vegetable Smooth parsley juice recipe

To enjoy a pure vegetable version of this smooth parsley juice, we suggest the following ingredients:   

½ small courgette
3 cm broccoli stem
2 pepino (Spanish cucumber) or one large salad cucumber
2 cm lemon
Large handful fresh parsley
Blend: 1/3 avocado

Follow the same instructions as above.
