Below is our recipe for one of our delightful breakfast juices. It is simple, with few ingredients and tastes lovely! To make, juice the apples, broccoli (the stem is better but use the florets if you do not have any stem left), courgette and lemon. Then place the juice in a blender and add the avocado and blend for a minute. For added omega-3 add a spoonful of ground flax seed or chia seed, to super boost this juices’ anti-inflammatory effects.
Juice Recipe Natures Glow
2cm broccoli stem, or 4 florets
½ large courgette (zucchini)
2cm slice lemon
Broccoli is an excellent source of vitamins A and K, both of which support and enhance the effect of vitamin D in your body. It also has high vitamin C and folate content, so we suggest that you include broccoli in your diet regularly to maintain tip-top health. Broccoli is also known to have a cholesterol lowering effect in the body and helps to reduce inflammation (so is particularly good for calming down allergic reactions). Courgette has high vitamin C content, plus potassium, manganese and folate. In juices it creates a creamy consistency, but is extremely low in calories. Avocado is a good source of essential fats for our body, plus extra fibre. These fats help with the uptake of some vitamins, meaning our bodies can better assimilate and make use of the vitamins. Avocados contain all of the B-vitamins (except B12), needed for energy production and making red blood cells.
At 370 calories this juice contains fantastic vitamins and minerals and is a great way to start your day.
