Breathe: red pepper and carrot juice recipe

Breathe: red pepper and carrot juice recipe

Carrots are great to include in a juice so this month we share our Breathe carrot juice recipe for you to try at home. It´s a tasty juice to enjoy first thing in the morning – particularly if you add avocado.

Adding avocado to your juice will give you great essential oils and vitamins, but if you prefer a light juice, containing fewer calories, then simply omit the avocado. It also means that you do not need to clean a blender too!

Breathe: carrot juice recipe

Serves: 1
Calories: 378 (with avocado), 194 (without avocado)

Ingredients

2 apples
½ red pepper
2 carrots
2cm unwaxed lemon
1/3 avocado

Method

First of all prepare your fruit and veg. Wash all of your ingredients in cold running water. If the lemon skin is particularly thick (or if you can only buy waxed lemons) trim the outer skin, leaving behind the white pith. There is no need to peel the apples, but you might need to cut them into quarters if the apples are too large for your juicer chute. It´s also okay to simply cut the pepper in half – the seeds will get pushed off into the waste bag.

Then simply put all the ingredients (except the avocado) through your juicer.

Pour the juice into your blender, scoop out the flesh from the avocado and add to the blender. Blend well for at least 30 seconds. Pour the liquid into your glass.

Wash up the juicer and blender. Then enjoy your juice!

Pure vegetable Breathe carrot juice option

If you prefer a pure vegetable breathe carrot juice then you can try this option (leaving out the apples):

1 red pepper
4 carrots
1 courgette
2 cm unwaxed lemon
1/3 avocado

Follow the same instructions as above.
